New Diet Pills Warning From the FDA
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a new warning about diet pills which are mostly sold on the Internet and are believed to be coming mainly from China.
These diet pills are being advertised as natural fat busters or new formulations of ancient Asian remedies.
But the FDA has warned that the pills may have unsafe ingredients such as a possible cancer-causing substance called phenolphthalein as well as up to triple the recommended daily dose of sibutramine, which is a strong anti-obesity drug.
These ingredients may not be listed on the product packaging.
