Wednesday Weigh-In #7

Someone pointed out to me that I forgot to post my Wednesday Weigh-In #7 on Wednesday. I’ve had a few times where I delayed posting until Thursday, but this is the first time I posted on Friday.

I was planning to continue with the “Focus On Weight Loss Success” series today, but I’ll honor the request I got for the weigh-in.

For the record, I didn’t take 2 extra days to lose the weight. These really are Wednesday’s results.

I went back on the plan and lost another pound. Four to go.

This puts me back where I was before I deliberately gained a pound last week. I won’t be doing that again anytime soon. Summer clothes are just too revealing and it’s starting to get hot around here.

So how’d you do?

Focus On Weight Loss Success: Image Is Everything

Notice the difference between what happens when a man says to himself, I have failed three times, and what happens when he says, I am a failure. — S. I. Hayakawa, psychologist, former U.S. Senator

Focus On Weight Loss Success: You Will Fail

Today kicks off my “Focus On Weight Loss Success” series, which will run intermittently over the next few weeks.

YOU WILL FAIL.

First the Diet Drugs Hurt Them, Then Their Lawyers Did…

I think most diet drugs are a scam. That’s just personal opinion, of course.

But there’s at least one group of dieters who got hurt twice… and then their lawyers allegedly threatened to hurt these dieters again if they told anyone what happened.

Coffee And Blood Pressure: The Unexpected Results

As those of you who have I Love to Cheat know, Part I contains “The Blood Pressure Bonus” where I outline how I used foods to reduce my mother’s blood pressure to normal.

At the time I wrote I Love to Cheat, the blood pressure effects of drinking coffee were unclear.

So I want you to have the latest study results, which showed something no one expected…

Wednesday Weigh-In #6

This week, I tried something different. I deliberately blew my diet and gained a pound.

Why would I do that?

More Simply Recipes

A couple of weeks ago, I posted some recipes from a site called Simply Recipes.

I’ve really enjoyed exploring the site looking for recipes that fit with I Love to Cheat. But the great thing is these recipes can be used with a lot of different diet plans.

I can’t possibly list them all, but here are a few new recipes for you. Just click the name of the food for a link to the recipe…

Wednesday Weigh-In #5

I lost another pound this week. Four to go.

So it looks like the Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies didn’t do any damage after all.

How’d your week go?

Weight Loss, Hair Loss, Memory Loss?

Yesterday, I blogged about extreme weight loss methods causing hair loss.

Today, a new study in Neurology, the scientific journal of the American Academy of Neurology, claims that weight loss surgery may cause memory loss, mental confusion, uncoordinated movement, and uncontrollable eye movements.

Patients may also experience weakness, tingling or numbness, seizures, or hearing loss.
